Papakolea Community Park

Opportunities for tutoring/mentoring are available in Papakolea, a Native Hawaiian Homestead community.

Help youth (generally grades K-5) with homework at the drop-in center. Shifts (1 hour or more) available between 2-6pm, Mondays through Thursdays.
Site Supervisor: Ms. ‘Iolani & Ms. Ka’apuni
Where: 2150 Tantalus Drive, Papakolea Community Center (at Papakolea Park), first floor library.

There may be additional service shifts available in the spring, at Stevenson Middle School, a Papakolea partner.
Where: 1202 Prospect St, Stevenson Middle School.


MANDATORY ORIENTATION for all new volunteers (choose one date):

[TBD. The program may already have enough volunteers for this term. Any new orientation/intake opportunities will be posted when they become available.]

All orientation options start at 6:00pm. Just choose one date and show up on time. No RSVP is needed. Be sure to bring your Connection Form for a signature (this is accessible after completing online registration for S-L. Click “Get Started” to register.)

Orientation Location: 2150 Tantalus Drive, Papakolea Community Center (at Papakolea Park) first floor library. Ample free parking is usually available on the street.
